Welcome to The West Cliff Bed and Breakfast
Whitstable has a colourful and cosmopolitan history, including the world's first passenger carrying railway, the invention of the Diving Bell, and it's famous "Native Oysters". More recently Whitstable has also become well known for its artistic community, galleries, shops, restaurants and cafes. Whitstable's characteristic wild pebbly beach has a unique charm which is accentuated by the ever changing sea and sky.

Whitstable is a lovely place to visit all the year round, especially if you like a breath of sea air what ever the weather. Whitstable is 1 hour and 20 minutes from London on the train, and within driving distance for a weekend away or a midweek break. The historic city of Canterbury is close by, as are the ancient woodlands of The Blean, if you feel like the option of something more rural.
At 31 West Cliff we offer a luxurious Bed and Breakfast, close to the beach and town centre.  We aim for comfortable and tasteful decor with a sea side feel as well as a feeling of privacy. The house is set in an extremely pleasant location in the town, with an open aspect overlooking the golf course in Whitstable. The accommodation we offer is at the front of the house, and spectacular sunsets can be observed, weather permitting.

31 West Cliff is a turn of the century Victorian house just a few minutes scenic walk across the golf course to the beach. We are in a central location, with the galleries, shops, cafes and restaurants within a short walking distance.


At our B&B we have one fully refurbished room with an en-suite shower, toilet and king size bed. We have tea and coffee making facilities in the room as well as a TV and radio alarm clock. We serve breakfast in the privacy of your room. Alternatively, for a reduced rate, you can choose to have breakfast out at one of Whitstable's many cafes.

Due to the fact that we have ground floor accommodation we are accessible to people with mobility problems and for those that may need to use a wheelchair some of the time.

We have a 2' 6" wide single bed that we can put in the room if a twin bed arrangement is required. It may be possible to sleep more people by prior arrangement.
